I guess we won for Bad Joke Friday!

Sorry about those who didn't get it, totally our fault!

The EU shipments are NOT cancelled and they are NOT going back to ASIA! 

We have the freight through customs (finally) and on the way to Gamesquest for fulfillment. We have Gamesquest all set up already with the fulfillment info and they assured us that they will work lightning fast to get these out to all of our backers as soon as possible once they arrive by their warehouse late next week. 

Thanks and sorry again for the misunderstanding! We have reprimanded the one who wrote that first update. 

Yet another fulfillment update!

Wow! This has been some week already!

We have some good news and some bad news.... and I guess some ok news... 

Australia/NZ: Done! If you didn't get yours yet just hang tight as it's on the way! (assuming you filled out your survey!:)

Canada: Snakes & Lattes have finally received all the inventory after a slight delay and worked super fast to get everything all checked in and should have the orders starting to ship out as we speak! 

EU Fulfillment: Some of the orders have gone out but for some unknown reason we're having a lot of issues with the customs clearance day after day and we very promptly respond to any additional information requested only to get more information requested! We're hoping this will be resolved immediately and the remaining freight containers can be delivered to the fulfillment hub for them to continue fulfillment! We'll keep you updated on this. 

U.S. West Coast Fulfillment: Our hub in the west coast has been moving lightning fast to make up for lost time and they're doing a really nice job! Many of you have already received your shipments and hundreds more are on the way. 

U.S. East Coast Fulfillment: Some unknown mechanical issue happened with the freight company and two of the four containers heading to NY haven't quite made it to the fulfillment house yet. We have two already checked in and another getting delivered tomorrow and the last one on Friday. The fulfillment house is working very hard to work with us by prioritizing our freight unloading and will be fulfilling orders as the inventory gets checked in. This will definitely delay the east coast fulfillment though. That's the bad news. The good news is that we're going to try to save some time (at our expense:) to ship several hundred east coast orders this week from the west coast. We can't do this for all the east coast orders because there will limited supply of each item left over in the west coast after the west coast fulfillment so if you're lucky enough to have picked items and colors that we'll have extra of in the west, we'll be pushing your order there (as inventory permits). No we can't provide all the specific colors and options that we'll be doing this for because it will be changing constantly as inventory runs dry in the west. Just rest assured, we are working (quite literally) around the clock to do the very best we can under every obstacle that falls in our path (which frankly feels like every single obstacle possible!)  

Asia & other countries not serviced by the hubs: We'll be shipping these out from NY once we get all the inventory checked in so hopefully next week. We'll be preparing these shipments ahead of time so that we'll be ready for the inventory so if you get an email notification with tracking info but there is no movement yet, don't panic.. it's because we're just prepping your labels to speed up the process!

As always, any questions comments etc feel free to give us a shout but before you do checkout these FAQ's relating to fulfillment: (or you can just ask these questions on the comments section and Michael W will get back to you with the proper answer! - welcome back Michael!:)

Why did I only get part of my order?

ANSWER: Most likely your order was split up into a couple of boxes and each box can be shipped from a different carrier based on weight, dimensions and geography so you may have received your backpack from UPS today but might get a box with the accessories from DHL in two days. - Also you can check inside the backpack as a few have been surprised to find the accessories hiding inside!

Will I get tracking sent when my order is shipped?

ANSWER: Depends... Most of our international hubs are automatically sending out tracking numbers when the orders are shipped. If you're in the U.S. then for some reason Backerkit doesn't automatically send out tracking info but you can find it on your survey if you log back in to Backerkit. Otherwise we're manually sending out tracking numbers every couple of hours as Shipbob gets the orders fulfilled. 

Will my order arrive by Christmas?

ANSWER: We are truly doing our very best and certainly hope you do but we really appreciate all the patience and support we've been receiving thus far!

Why is my address not locked on Backerkit?

ANSWER: Don't be alarmed if you see this - it has to do with the shipping integration between Backerkit and Shipbob but also please do not go and change your address manually as this will definitely become an issue! If you have some urgent reason to modify your address please contact us immediately and we'll see if it's possible depending on the stage of fulfillment your order is at. 

How can I contact GeekOn?

Fulfillment Update!

Hey everyone!

We're so close we can feel it! 

It's certainly a stressful shipping time of year but we'e doing our very best to get all the orders out and to keep as calm as possible! We've also been working on the website and I guess photoshoots can get a bit tense as well.. 

It was awesome seeing so many of you at PAX Unplugged last week! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and hang with us!

Anyway, here are some updates to fulfillment: 

U.S. West Coast: Started fulfillment! Should have all the orders out by the middle of next week.

U.S. East Coast: Inventory is due to arrive there today and after a few days to unload and organize they should be ready to start shipping out the orders early next week. 

** Before you ask where your state falls - most central state orders were sent to the west coast. Many east coast orders that didn't have backpacks were sent to the west coast. 

Canada: Scheduled to receive the shipments today and they should hopefully get your orders out by the end of next week. 

Europe: Some of the freight has arrived and the rest are due to arrive this week barring any customs delays.. Orders should start to be shipped as the products are available so some orders should be going out this week and some after the remaining shipments are received and organized. 

Australia/New Zealand: Shipments arrived last week and fulfillment has started!

Asia, Africa and other countries not fulfilled by hubs: We will be fulfilling these orders from our warehouse in NY starting late next week. 

Credit Card Disputes: Please, please please do not dispute credit card charges from backerkit that are marked paid to StatGear. We mentioned this a bunch of times on pretty much every update since we sent out the surveys but many are still now sending in new disputes on the backerkit charges for shipping or add-ons and even if you call your credit card company to cancel the dispute it can take up to 60 days for our credit card processor to actually close out the case! This WILL delay your shipment! 

If you are one of these backers who have disputed the charges please send an email to [email protected] and we can try to work out a separate payment for you to make in the meantime and will refund your initial payment once the case is closed. Yes this takes extra time and organizing but we're willing to work with you. Yes we get charged a fee for every dispute but we haven't passed that on to you... yes we certainly rock!

Fulfillment update

Hey all,  

We had pushed the factories to get the freight out ASAP to help avoid any delays by the time they reached their ports but due to issues in Asia a couple of months ago the shipments were still sent out a couple of weeks behind schedule as we mentioned in previous updates.

The good news: 

It looks like all of the freight shipments are pretty close to their destination ports!

The not-so-good news: 

As of this morning it looks like each of the freight shipments to the hubs are a few days delayed from the scheduled delivery times we posted previously. BUT as there could be additional customs delays due to above normal port congestion this time of year it could be a little longer. At this moment we don't know too much unfortunately because most delays we won't see on our side until they actually occur. 

Here are the projected dates that the fulfillment houses will receive the inventory. Keep in mind that there are A LOT of pieces being sent to each hub and this is a crazy time of year so they are estimating 3-5 days to check the inventory in and about a week or so to get them processed and shipped out. Then of course you have final transit times which vary by destination and local carriers. 

Australia/New Zealand: 12/3/18  

Canada: 12/6/18

 EU/UK: 12/7/18 

 U.S. West Coast: 11/29/18 

 U.S. East Coast: 12/6/18

We are trying our hardest to get everything in and ready for fulfillment ASAP but unfortunately some things are just out of our control. We have locked down most of the addresses so that we could have the fulfillment hubs all set with all the fulfillment info so that once they do get the inventory in they won't have to wait for anything on our end. 

PAX Pickup:

To those that responded about PAX pickup, as of this moment it's not looking too promising but as we said even if we get them into the hub on Wednesday next week and we have to ship them all overnight to be ready for the show setup Thursday that's what we'll do but we have to wait and see last minute what the freight is up to. As of now we have all of you on a special list meaning we didn't yet send your fulfillment info to the hubs in case we do have the opportunity to bring them to PAX but of course if we find out that PAX pickup isn't possible we'll immediately upload your shipping info so that your shipments will still be fulfilled through the hubs at the same time as the other orders. We'll email those of you on our list individually when we know more.

Hi all, 

No major new info about fulfillment as right now the shipments are still on schedule to be delivered to the hubs at the dates we posted last update but we'll let you know once we get new information. 

We had an overwhelming response to the query about possible order pickup at PAX Unplugged and we'll be doing our best to try to make this happen. If this is a possibility we'll be reaching out to all of you that responded individually to set up pickup times so that we won't have you all just waiting on a line and wasting precious con time!

On another note, we just posted a video on youtube which would help explain how you set up the backpack once you receive it as well as to showcase some of the features for you. 

Give it a look when you have an extra couple of minutes!
